Who can be nominated?
Female farmers, or the wives of farmers who farm with crops, can be nominated. Please note that only female farmers or the wives of farmers who farm with one or more Bayer or DEKALB® product/s may be nominated for this competition. Entries from livestock farmers will only be accepted if they also farm with crops.
Nominations can be submitted by the farmer/wife herself or by any affiliate of the farmer or farmer’s wife. This includes the farmer, a Bayer or DEKALB® representative, family members, friends and/or community members.
Entries open on 11 May 2026 and closes at midnight on 31 August 2026.

WHAT PRIZES CAN BE WON?
Two winners will be announced. The winner in the Female Farmer of the Year category will receive Bayer/DEKALB® products to the value of R20 000, while the winner in the Farmer’s Wife category will receive R20 000 to be donated to a charity of her choice.
When will the winners be announced?
The winners will be announced at a special event in October 2026.
