Please note: No Bayer personnel or Bayer family members may take part in this competition. Only farmers who uses Bayer crop protection products or DEKALB® seed may enter.

For both categories, the nominee will be judged on the following two aspects:

Farming practice = 80%
Community involvement = 20%

Criteria on which the judging process will be based:

Farming activities (80%)

(In this section, the focus will be on the farm and the role of the female farmer in her own farming operations. Here, we will be looking at the difference she is making through her farming activities.)

(With this facet of the competition, we are focusing on the candidate’s involvement in the broader community, whether at a school, a feeding scheme, the church or any other charity organisation.)

WHAT PRIZES CAN BE WON?

Two winners will be announced. The winner in the Female Farmer of the Year category will receive Bayer/DEKALB® products to the value of R20 000, while the winner in the Farmer’s Wife category will receive R20 000 to be donated to a charity of her choice.

When will the winners be announced?

The winners will be announced at a special event in October 2026.
